The department offers Bachelor of Science Degrees in Electrical Engineering (EE) and Computer Engineering (CE) and Master of Science Degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering.Position:The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) is seeking a tenure-track faculty member in the area of Computer Engineering/Digital System Design at the rank of Assistant Professor.The successful candidate will teach a variety of fundamental undergraduate and graduate courses and labs in Electrical and Computer Engineering and have research interests in Computer Engineering and Digital System Design. Responsibilities include weekly office hours, attending faculty meetings, participation in assessment of student learning, and service to the department, college, and university.Required Qualifications:Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a field specializing in digital system design, hardware/software interface, IoT, embedded systems, or cyber-physical systems. ABD candidates will be considered but must complete the doctoral degree by August 20, 2025.Taught at least one Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering class at the College/University level.Published at least three peer-reviewed conference papers or journal articles in areas related to Computer Engineering within the last three years.Preferred Qualifications:Evidence of effective engagement or potential to engage with a diverse student body.Experience using culturally responsive pedagogy.Research/Lab experience that includes working with students from diverse backgrounds.Experience in grant proposal preparation.Industry experience in the area of specialization.Application Deadline:
