The General Manager is expected to mentor to all direct reports while leading the team effectively and efficiently.Actively lead center level performance through: key metrics, quality, individual skill levels and cultureCommunicate and manage the change processStay abreast of current vehicle repair procedures and technologiesManage and hold all staff accountable for shop performance through Recipe Book execution.Ensure customer satisfaction by coaching staff and resolving customer concerns as requiredRecruit, interview and hire new staff as requiredTrain new hires regarding company policy and proceduresPromote, develop and act as a liaison with area insurance contacts and other referral pointsContact all claims managers and dealer accounts every monthParticipate in external marketing and team building activities as requestedOther duties may be assigned as necessarySkills/RequirementsMinimum of five years collision repair / auto body management experience REQUIREDProven leadership and track record of employee developmentAbility to read and understand financial P&L statements requiredAbility to travel up to 25%Must have a valid driver's license and be eligible for insurance coverageWorking knowledge of CCC One estimating platform and management systemAdvanced skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PPT.Ability to read and interpret documents such as repair procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to write routine reports and correspondenceAbility to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizationPhysical Demands & Work EnvironmentFrequently required to standFrequently required to walkOccasionally required to sitFrequently required to use hands and fingersFrequently required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawlContinually required to talk or hearContinually required to lift/push weights up to 50 poundsIntegrity
