The Data Governance Consultant program manager / Release Train Engineer (RTE) is responsible for supporting Data Governance across the enterprise, enabling business growth while ensuring compliance with risk and regulatory expectations. The position partners with various business and technology stakeholders to influence and drive adoption of related Enterprise Data Management strategies, policies, standards and control frameworks.
The role will provide program oversight for large and complex data governance initiatives/programs, engaging with multiple concurrent teams and projects. The role should be able to lead and coach execution teams . The role will drive Program Increment ceremonies (Includes PO sync, planning, problem solving workshops, system demos) Agile metrics, program coordination and management briefings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage engagement with data governance programs to create rhythm for on going support, maturity and metrics reporting for regulatory commitments.
Collate requirements for projects from a data governance perspective and participate in overall project implementation.
Consultative role in assessment of policy and standards alignment, data inventories, content mgmt., access mgmt., data risk etc.
Support Data Governance working groups and documentation.
Drive solution design and execution of multi-pronged data governance efforts that span across platforms and business/technology areas to address enterprise data needs.
Implement strategic data governance capabilities by working with business and technology partners to document requirements and create action plans.
Perform oversight and inspection of critical data management practices for adherence to established data policies and control frameworks.
Identify data issues and work with technology, risk and business partners to triage, track, communicate, mitigate and remediate the issues to closure.
Support the production of metrics and measures to track progress and adherence, escalating as needed to various committees for visibility and program accountability.
Understand and integrate relevant regulations and industry trends into work plans, exploring emerging frameworks and assessing feasibility using proof of concepts.
Collaborate closely with peer teams to ensure coordination, synergy and seamless overall execution.
Champion and drive improvement in enterprise data management practices throughout the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in related field, eight years of experience in roles with increasing responsibilities in technology, data management, governance, risk or related practice or equivalent education and related training or experience
Preferred Qualifications:
More than 10 years of experience in Program/project mgmt. with knowledge of related tools and methodologies, including Agile and SAFe framework
Master of Business Administration (MBA) or other graduate or advanced-level certification
Data Governance and/or Data Management Certifications (e.g., Certified Information Management Professional (CIMP), ICCP Certified Data Governance Professional, DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or similar certification)
Large program strategic planning/execution across multiple functions in financial services; RTE certification preferred.
History of effective performance within shared service, matrix or federated environments
Internal or external consulting experience
Experience with formalized organizational assessment practices (e.g. Capability Maturity Model), including implementation of recommended improvements
