Job Description:

As the Vice President of Engineering at Elite, you will lead our engineering organization, driving the technical vision and execution of our SaaS platform and on-premise software solutions. You will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of our engineering efforts, ensuring scalability, security, and performance across all products. This role requires a deep knowledge of SaaS environments and the ability to lead high-performing development teams in delivering exceptional cloud-based and on-premise solutions.

What You’ll Do:

Lead Engineering Teams:

Design, develop, and deploy scalable SaaS and on-premise software solutions, ensuring high availability, security, and performance

Engineering Strategy:

Define and implement the overall engineering strategy, aligning with Elite’s business objectives and long-term vision for SaaS and on-premise product offerings

Cross Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with product management, sales, technical strategy and executive leadership to translate business requirements into a robust technical roadmap

Process Improvement:

Drive continuous improvement in software development processes, tools, and methodologies, with a strong emphasis on agile practices, DevOps, and automation

Best Practices:

Ensure best practices in software architecture, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, etc.), and data security are implemented and maintained

Team Building:

Build and scale a high-performance engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence

Resource Management:

Oversee resource planning, team allocation, and project prioritization to meet the demands of a dynamic SaaS and on-premise software business environment

Industry Trends:

Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive developments in the SaaS and on-premise software space, ensuring Elite stays ahead of the curve

Leadership and Mentoring:

Mentor and develop engineering leaders and teams, promoting continuous learning and professional development within the organization

Project Delivery:

Partner with other senior leaders to ensure successful delivery of new features, enhancements, and product updates that meet client expectations and market demands

What You’ll Need:

10+ years of engineering leadership experience, with a strong track record in SaaS and on-premise software product development and delivery

Expertise in designing and delivering scalable SaaS and on-premise platforms, with a deep understanding of cloud architecture, microservices, and APIs

Proven experience leading large-scale engineering teams, ideally in a high-growth SaaS environment

Strong technical knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and security best practices

Deep experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment

Extensive experience in Platform Engineering, including developing and managing platform services and infrastructure to support scalable applications

Deep experience with agile development methodologies and a focus on operational efficiency

Strong business acumen, with the ability to translate business goals into technical strategies and solutions

Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and mentor high-performing engineering teams

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus

Benefits:

Competitive Compensation Package($255,000 to $290,000 base salary + variable component)
