Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Principal Software Engineer – SW CI/CD Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations.
As a member of the Regional Applications Agile Release Train (RA ART) of the Missile Defense National Team for Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC), this position will be responsible for working across the ART to implement and maintain a standardized CI/CD pipeline for use by all of the Product Teams within the RA ART, across two development sites. The applicant must work closely with the Cyber and Platforms ART to ensure that the tools and applications within the pipeline are maintained and conform to security and other requirements.
Essential Functions:
Experience working within classified environments to implement CI/CD pipelines to support multiple SW releases and build versions.
Good verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work independently, and the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment.
Work with multiple disciplinary teams, especially Systems Admins, IT, and Security.
Infrequent travel between Huntsville and Colorado development facilities may be required.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of experience, or a PhD and 1 year of experience, or 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
Applicants must have a current active in-scope DoD issued secret security clearance at the time of application.
Ability and willingness to travel 10% to support business needs.
DoD 8140 certification at
IAT Level II or higher
(Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) is required to start.

Salary Range:
$102,400 - $153,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
