BD Solution Deployment team
manages, plans, and coordinates the implementation of BD Medication Management Solutions. Cross-functional teams are assigned to customer projects and accounts based on project scope. The BD project team partners with the customer project team to deliver the goal of an on-time successful system implementation that achieves customer’s medication management goals. Activities include pre-sales project scope planning, implementation project management, hardware and software installation, workflow, system design and configuration tasks, integration engineering functions, clinical training and detailed customer relationship and account management activities. In addition to customer‐facing responsibilities, the Solution Deployment team is also responsible for many backend business functions including revenue forecasting and recognition, supply chain forecasting, equipment logistics (including ordering, customer confirmation and return authorizations), implementation and governance methodologies, continuous improvement, solution design best practices and quality system requirements.The Senior Manager Solution Deployment
is a management position responsible for leading and developing teams within the organization, resourcing and equipping cross-functional teams to drive the successful implementation of BD Medication Management Technology. The role will report to the Director of Solution Deployment with dotted line reporting to the VP, BD Medication Management Solutions Canada. This leader manages other people leaders and a team of professional and clinical staff that includes Consultants, Nurses, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Project Managers, Trainers and Analysts. The team is comprised of both full-time and contingent workers. The Senior Manager Solution Deployment is a part of the BD Medication Management Solutions Canadian leadership team and will work cross-functionally with the Platform, Global Solution Deployment team and Canadian Marketing, Sales, Clinical, Medical Affairs and Service organizations.This Canada field-based role should be in close proximity to an airport to facilitate travel.Role Responsibilities:
Lead and support the strategic direction of BD Medication Management Solutions (MMS) and provide leadership across the Canadian Solution Deployment team.Development and management of functional strategies, processes, and tools.Management and oversight of the Dispensing, Infusion and Pharmacy Automation implementation processes.Ensuring the successful implementation of BD MMS products by reviewing and analyzing activities, costs and operations data to determine progress towards implementation goals.Management of all aspects of the financial forecasting process to deliver on monthly and quarterly revenue objectives while monitoring and controlling expenses in alignment with budget.Ability to proactively identify and mitigate risk.Development and management of effective practices, tools, and standards for communicating information to teams, peers, executive leadership, and customer implementation activities.Establishing strong collaborative relationships at all levels within BD, customer, and prospect facilities.Driving collaboration with Sales, Clinical and Health IT teams to support processes including pre-sales, contract and quote support, quarterly business reviews and customer engagements.Engaging customers through account management to ensure customer satisfaction and management of escalations.Collaborating within Solution Deployment and across MMS Canada to determine organizational design, roles, responsibilities, and staffing needs for the implementation team to support customer projects/programs, company goals and objectives.Recruiting, hiring, onboarding, developing and building a strong team environment, culture of partnership, collaboration, continuous improvement and customer excellence.Maintaining strong industry and product knowledge.Skills:
Demonstrates knowledge of industry recognized project management methodologies.Possesses healthcare project or management experience and demonstrates thorough knowledge and understanding of management methodologies and relevant clinical and IT operations.Understands customer medication management workflows and can contribute and consult on best practices involving BD MMS technology.Dedication to meeting and exceeding project deliverables and customer expectations.Ability to manage and negotiate within complex and multi-layered customer organizations.Strategic Thinking - interprets internal and external business issues and interdependencies and adapts work priorities in own area.Change Leadership – embraces culture of change and leads by example.Results Oriented – leads team to achieve established goals in an effective manner.Expertise in building and operationalizing processes and tools to meet the needs of the organization.Visionary leader that is able to engage, develop and motivate a large organization to achieve organizational objectives.Qualifications:
College degree (Business, Science, Health Sciences or similar field) combined with 10 years of related work experience including 5 years in a medical device or healthcare environment with clinical and technical involvement.Or a Bachelor’s degree (in Business, Science, Health Sciences, or similar field) with 5 years in a medical device or healthcare environment with clinical and technical involvement.Knowledge of Infusion, Dispensing and Pharmacy Automation technologies an asset.Direct management experience in a matrixed organization and experience leading virtual teams.Experience working with clients in hospital, retail and long-term care pharmacies an asset.Fluency in English (read, speak, write) required to communicate with colleagues and customers and in French (read, speak, write) preferred to support our Quebec-based customers in French.RPh, RPhT, RN or IT professional certification preferred.Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a past clean driving record for a minimum of 3 years, as well as meet BD's auto safety standards.Work Environment:
