We are seeking a Lab Associate – Genomics to join IQVIA Laboratories at Durham, NC.

The Lab Associate – Genomics is responsible for performing a variety of routine testing procedures to obtain data for use in clinical trials research.
What you’ll be doing:
Perform routine analysis of specimens and document results in accordance with SOPs and applicable regulatory guidelines.
Evaluate the validity of analytical results against the algorithms displayed by the lab computer system.
Identify and document potential performance errors or unusual results, escalating them to senior lab personnel.
Prepare buffers and solutions for analysis as required.
Conduct secondary reviews of analytical results when signed-off as competent for applicable instruments and data types.
Manage post-analysis sample and reagent storage.
Assist in developing and writing new laboratory procedures and techniques.
Maintain good housekeeping of the lab environment, consistent with 6S standards.
What we are looking for:
High School Diploma or equivalent, or a Bachelor’s Degree (some CAP/CLIA lab locations may require a BS in chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology).
6 months of relevant lab experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Basic knowledge of lab principles and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control procedures, including standard precautions and hazardous chemical handling.
Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
The knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this role:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, and close eye work (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.
Basic computer skills and knowledge of laboratory equipment and terminology.
Ability to maintain effective reporting procedures and control workflow.
Strong collaboration skills with internal stakeholders.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $41,100.00 - $68,500.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
