This Full-Time Director of Quality Management position is located at our ContinueCARE Hospital at Hendrick Medical Center in

ContinueCARE Hospital at Hendrick Medical Center is a 23-bed long term acute care hospital (LTACH) located on the seventh floor of the Jones Building at Hendrick Medical Center. A typical LTACH patient may require care for: ventilator weaning, complex wounds, infections requiring IV antibiotics, complications from extensive surgery, multi-system failures, TPN, neurological / traumatic injuries, and those not yet able to participate in acute rehabilitation due to medical complexity.The Director of Quality Management develops, implements and maintains an effective, ongoing, organization wide, data driven Quality Assessment Performance Improvement (QAPI) Program. Establishes a planned systematic and interdisciplinary approach to improving care treatment and services with hospital leaders. Creates a culture that shifts primary focus from the performance of individuals to the performance of the hospital’s systems and processes. Maintains compliance with state and federal regulations and accreditation standards.Responsibilities:
Coordinates a collaborative approach to Performance ImprovementEnsure hospital is survey ready at all timesServes as hospital Compliance Officer and Risk ManagerMonitor compliance with the safety plans within the Environment of Care Management ProgramCollects data, prepares and provides reports as requested by legal and regulatory bodies, hospital administration, and the CHC corporate offices. Participates in CHC requested meetings and provides input as requestedMonitors and records infection on patient within the hospitalMonitors patient admissions and placement to ensure optimum control of infectionMaintain current Quality Improvement plans, policies, procedures and programsMaintain current knowledge of state, and federal laws and regulatory agency requirements for hospitals regarding utilization and quality managementAssist CEO in developing Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations.Serves as the Infection Control Practitioner and Employee Health Nurse for the hospital.Conducts regular surveillance to prevent and control the spread of infections.Educates staff on evidenced based prevention and control practices.Ensures accurate and timely reporting of CMS and NHSN quality data.In the absence of the CNO, takes responsibility for nursing services.Education/Experience:
Current RN license to practice in state of employment.Bachelor of Science Degree in a clinical field/Healthcare is preferred.Two years experience with Quality Management preferred.Basic Infection Control Certification within 6 months of hire.Certificates and Licenses:
