A hospital in Southern Idaho is in need of an RN with 3+ years of experience with Women's Services (L&D and PP) for a 13 week travel assignment.The nurses will be working 12 hour shifts.Ideal candidates must have 3+ years experience with L&D, Post-Partum, and OR Circulation / Triage.Job Requirements
Must have 3 years of L&D experienceMust have mother baby experience- prefer 1 yearOkay with a first time traveler.Must have experience and be able to attend deliveries and complete 1 hour of newborn care, triage, Circulate C/S, and provide Postpartum Couplet Care.Must have experience with magnesium.Charge nurse experience preferred.RN required to titrate drips: Pitocin Protocol, Magnesium Protocol, Insulin drips (occasionally)Schedule Information
The nurses will be working 12 hour shifts.Admin Supervisor on every shift.Charge RNs do not take an assignment.Do NOT guarantee Block Scheduling- cannot work 6 shifts in a rowNo minimum weekend requirement. Follow AWHONN Staffing Standards for ratios.Patients 32 week gestation and greater.Do not take placenta previa or placenta accreta.Serve a very diverse population.Travel duos will need 2 cars, cannot do 1 car as they could be at different sites or float during shift.Have a no fingernail lacquer policy - do not allow acrylic or gel nails in the dept.
