About this role:
The intern will work with the Supply Chain and Engineering teams to identify and drive productivity projects. Projects will include cost-out opportunities, engineering redesigns, supplier consolidations, part number consolidations, spend optimizations, and others.
Key Responsibilities:Partner with buyers and planners to maintain accuracy of supplier master database: understand active suppliers and create a list of required fields that must be filled.Connect with suppliers to collect required missing fields.Leverage systems such as JDE and LeanDNA to view and update supplier records where necessary.Develop metrics to monitor and track suppliers with missing required fields.Provide status update to team leaders on a weekly basis.Perform on-demand activities to support production.Required Qualifications:
Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, Analytics, or BusinessMust have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higherMust be eligible to work in the US without sponsorshipPreferred Qualifications:
Rising SophomoreKnowledge of Microsoft Office 365 product suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Ability to solve challenging and complex customer requestsSelf-starter and eager to learn
