Nightwing is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Engineer, (ISSE) for a highly visible and strategic Cybersecurity Task Order. The Sr. ISSE will be part of an engineering enablement team responsible for capturing and engineering and refining information security requirements and ensuring their integration and evolution into the enterprise. Focused on various security tools the Sr. ISSE will require broad knowledge across multiple security tools to include but not limited to Firewalls, Proxy and SSL decryptors, Identity and Access Management/Privilege Access Management, enterprise endpoint protection, CDM components and reporting, Data loss protection, email protection, SIEM and Log Management, and Security Risk Management. The Sr. ISSE will be required to interact with development teams, Security Architects, and senior management, as necessary to evolve, plan, and deploy tools/capabilities into the Enterprise.
Responsibilities Include:
Performing assessments of tools and identify where those resources deviate from acceptable configurations or policies
Technical management, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting, of enterprise-wide cyber tools ensuring that any issues that may adversely impact their capabilities are identified, properly mitigated, and promptly resolved
Lead efforts to prevent adversary network threats, identify advanced attack vectors and thwart methods of exploitation
Working closely with agile capability development teams serving as the principal technical advisor and subject matter expert as the Lead Cybersecurity Tools Engineer
Overseeing engineering, design, develop, direct, and implement enterprise network cyber defense capabilities to prevent sophisticated cyber threats and vulnerabilities from affecting the core enterprise
As the Lead Cyber Tools Engineer, you will implement security measures that protect the client enterprise while maintaining knowledge of the lifecycle of the emerging threats, attack vectors and methods of adversary exploitation
Leading a team in maintaining proficiency and specialized knowledge in computer network theory and understand IT standards and cybersecurity Tools including the OSI model, and the methods of exploiting those standards
Required Skills:
U.S. Citizenship
Active Secret clearance. Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
Must have eight (8+) or more years of directly relevant cyber security experience
Knowledge of the tools and capabilities below with Expert engineering and operating knowledge of at least 3 of the examples listed below:
Firewall configuration (Cloud and on premise)
Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems configuration and maintenance
Proxy, (Web Application Proxies
SSL decryptors
Identity and Access Management/Privilege Access Management,
Enterprise endpoint protection,
CDM components and reporting
Data loss protection
Email protection
SIEM and Log Management
Security Risk Management, (Scanning, Assessment and Mitigation)
Cloud Security Guardrails
Desired Skills:
Information Security and IT certifications: Cisco, Red Hat, AWS, etc.
Experience administering cyber security tools such as Firewalls, SIEM, and PCAP
Experience with security log analysis.
Experience working on a Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT)
Previous experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC)
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, Software Engineering or a related discipline is required. [Ten (10) years of experience (for a total of eighteen (18) or more years) may be substituted for a degree.]

SANS: GCIH, GCWN, GISF, GISP, GSSP, GICSP, GSSP
Carnegie Mellon: SEI

The salary range for this role is 105,000 USD - 221,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
