Energy Analyst - Remote
Overview:
As part of CBRE’s Global Workplace Solutions team, the Energy Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the deployment of electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure across North America for a major e-commerce client. This position is integral to CBRE’s mission of delivering high-impact, sustainable solutions for clients, focusing on utility engagement, contracting, and process management to drive the scaling and standardization of EV infrastructure processes. The analyst will collaborate closely with our client as well as utility companies to manage new service applications, assess power requirements, and streamline tracking systems for program performance. By providing data-driven insights and overseeing critical workflows, the Energy Analyst will support CBRE in helping the client achieve ambitious sustainability goals, advancing sustainable transportation, and reducing carbon emissions.
Core Responsibilities:
Project Management & Utility Relations
Implement utility engagement strategies across North America for EV infrastructure deployment
Develop and maintain comprehensive project management systems to track multiple initiatives
Coordinate with utilities on new service applications and infrastructure requirements
Build relationships with energy managers, sustainability teams, and local stakeholders
Technical & Analysis
Analyze power requirements and infrastructure needs for EV charging installations
Manage and optimize databases tracking site progress
Evaluate electrical infrastructure including power distribution, switchgear, and metering
Create and maintain reporting systems for program performance metrics
Process & Program Management
Drive standardization and scaling of EV infrastructure deployment processes
Manage internal approval workflows and maintain utility agreement documentation
Balance scheduled deliverables with dynamic project needs
Identify and implement process improvements based on operational insights
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with preference in contracts, energy, or related field
3+ years of experience in process, energy management, utility relations, or related field
General understanding of electrical infrastructure and utility contracts, or wiliness to learn
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
Experience with business tools such as Google AppSheet, Smartsheet, or similar platforms

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $75,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $85,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
