Senior Network Engineer

Responsibilities:Install, configure, and manage scalable and high-availability data center and cloud networks.Design, implement, and maintain a robust firewall infrastructure to secure the organization against external and internal threats.Monitor firewall performance and manage configuration adjustments to maintain network security and stability.Configure and manage Azure networking components, including Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, and Network Security Groups (NSG).Manage and optimize firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper) for enhanced performance and security.Drive automation, orchestration, and continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) initiatives to enhance infrastructure efficiency.Act as a liaison between IT and business stakeholders, advocating for network engineering solutions that meet business needs.Advise leadership on strategic technology roadmaps and innovation to advance infrastructure capabilities.Foster a team-oriented culture, building cooperative relationships, resolving conflicts, and encouraging constructive feedback.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.5 years of experience in a technical environment, focusing on network infrastructure.5 years of experience in a network role involving route switching, firewalls, VPN, and IDS/IPS.2+ years of experience with networking technologies on Microsoft Azure, AWS, Oracle, or IBM platforms.Senior-level experience with data center infrastructure solutions, including VPN, Cisco (Route and Switch), and Palo Alto firewalls.Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in a relevant technical discipline, or equivalent experience.Industry experience in a complex network environment.Skills, Certifications, and Competencies:CCNP (Security, Data Center, Routing, Switching), CCIE, PCNSE (Palo Alto) certifications.Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert (preferred).Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and IT counterparts.Proficiency in deploying and managing data center and cloud network technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, micro-segmentation, software-defined networking, and SD-WAN.Extensive experience with data center infrastructure, including Cisco (Route and Switch), Palo Alto firewalls (including IDS/IPS), Cisco VPN, and Zscaler VPN.Strong programming/scripting skills in automation frameworks such as Python or Ansible.Expertise in designing Ansible networking playbooks and/or utilizing Python scripts and REST API for networking tasks on platforms like Palo Alto, Zscaler, and Cisco.In-depth knowledge of Panorama template hierarchy and BGP (e.g., community strings, route maps, route filters).Proven experience in building site-to-site VPN tunnels for Cisco and Palo Alto platforms.
