Valmont Industries is looking for an energetic and analytical thinker to join our Corporate Treasury Department. As a Senior Treasury Analyst at Valmont Industries, you will play a critical role in managing the company's cash and liquidity, maintaining bank relationships, and optimizing financial processes through best practices and automation development. Reporting directly to the Director of Cash and Liquidity Management, you will be responsible for various treasury functions, including bank account management, financial analysis and forecasting, risk assessment, and compliance as part of an internationally dispersed team.
Essential Functions:
This position reports to the Director of Cash and Liquidity Management and has no direct or indirect reports.
This role requires up to 10% travel (internationally/domestically), including overnight stays.
Regional Level Cash Management and Reporting Duties as assigned.
Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal policies.
Assists with foreign exchange risk management and reporting.
Development and institution of automation and connectivity opportunities to enhance processes.
Provide analytical support and coordination to Regional and Corporate around cash, liquidity, and foreign exchange.
Cash Management and Reporting Duties:
Monitor and manage daily cash positions and cash flow forecasts utilizing our Kyriba Treasury Management System (“TMS”) for foreign and domestic currency accounts.
Prepare variance analysis reporting on cash flow projections.
Identify trends, research variances and provide insights to improve forecasting accuracy.
Manage short term Investment strategies and reporting.
Act as a key contributor to weekly executive cash reporting.
Assist in the creation, tracking and optimization of working capital metrics.
Assist in development of In-house banking structures and reporting.
Assist in preparing and executing regional cash repatriation strategies and cash movements.
Develop subject matter expertise around Kyriba and the Cash and Liquidity module or reports designed for the module.
Develop subject matter expertise around assigned regions cashflow activity and business needs.
Perform ad hoc analyses as directed by the Senior Director Finance and Assistant Treasurer.
Foreign Exchange and Risk Management Duties:
Assist in development and maintain exposure gathering, consolidation and analytical reporting for management.
Assist in hedge execution, reporting, and settlement.
Assist in the implementation of foreign exchange risk mitigation strategies.
Proactively build awareness within the company around foreign exchange risks and concerns.
Other Important Details about the Role:
Support the Corporate Treasury team members with other projects, including process improvement and automation.
Assist with treasury related audit requests.
Assist in global bank relationship management.
Provide organizational support to the Corporate Treasury team.
Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
Preferred Business, Finance, Accounting or related Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience or Associate’s degree with 7+ years of experience or 9+ years of relevant experience.
5+ years’ experience in a Treasury, Finance, or Banking role.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and Excel.
Knowledge of banking platforms, bank portals, and treasury processes.
Understanding of financial markets, instruments, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:
MBA or Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) a plus.
3+ years of experience in Cash Forecasting and Variance reporting.
Advanced Excel and Power BI skills.
Proficiency with Kyriba or similar Treasury Management System.
ERP experience (SAP, IFS, QAD).
Experience as part of a multi-national Finance or Treasury Team.
Knowledge of Repatriation Strategies and local regulations.
Experience in connecting systems and automating business processes.
Experience using automation tools utilizing Alteryx Analytics software.
