The Intermediate Developer at POWTEC supports government clients with application development, software engineering, and application architecture. This role focuses on the development, maintenance, enhancement, and operational services for enterprise systems using the specified technologies. The successful candidate will leverage their technical expertise to ensure quality software solutions that meet client requirements.
This is a non-exempt (hourly) position, working full-time (40 hours per week) from Monday through Friday in a government office environment. Candidates must pass a background check and drug screening and be able to obtain a Level 5 Public Trust Clearance.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Compensation:
$100,000 - $115,000 per year ($48.08 - $52.29 per hour)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Lead/Senior Developers to implement and enhance software solutions.
Communicate effectively with team members and government personnel to ensure project alignment.
Identify tasks, set priorities, and work efficiently with developers and government staff.
Adhere to established development processes, methods, and standards, providing documentation as required.
Deliver excellent customer service to government clients.
Perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting across various technologies.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Minimum 3+ years of experience in relevant technical areas.
Proficiency in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Demonstrated experience in Full Stack Development (front-end, back-end, and database).
Expertise in C# (.NET), Angular, and Microsoft SQL Server.
Knowledge of server-side web application development with ASP.NET and related technologies.
Client-side programming experience with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
Knowledge of web service programming and database programming using .NET Entity Framework, SQL Server, and T-SQL.
Strong understanding of relational database concepts, including stored procedures, table creation, and editing.
Familiarity with version control practices and tools (e.g., Git); able to check in code, work in branches, and manage merge conflicts.
Knowledge of security practices, including Windows Authentication, NTLM, Kerberos, Certificates, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years of documented experience in software development, specifically in the skills and technologies listed above.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Eligibility to obtain a Level 5 Public Trust Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Experience working in a government or public sector environment.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
Additional certifications related to software development or project management.
