About the RoleIf you like solving complex problems using your deep purchasing and supplier management skills, this is the opportunity for you!
As a Sr Purchasing Agent, you'll be using your skills and expertise to purchase materials, supplies, and services on the most favorable terms for the organization. You'll be responsible for qualifying our suppliers, monitoring and ensuring our supplier quality and delivery, evaluating bids, negotiating prices and terms for purchased goods and services, tracking purchases, and maintaining a current database of our supplier informat
Additionally, you'll provide subject matter expertise on complex procurements of significant dollar value, as well as independently manage multiple service type contracts. You'll help with the planning of the process for the purchasing function, and support programs. You'll assist business development, new programs, and productions programs for all procurement functions.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Procurement experience required
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with procuring harness, cable, EEE, and COTS components
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), Outlook, and Procurement software such as SAP
Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) compliance Additional Requirements:
Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps
Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity
Frequently requires hearing abilities to include discerning different tones and volumes
Rarely lifting or carrying up to 20 lbs.
Working Conditions:
Rarely exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.)
Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials
Rarely exposed to loud noises
