Network Administrator (Piscataway NJ / Hybrid / 12 month Contract)Optomi, in partnership with a leader in technology infrastructure solutions industry, is seeking a Network Administrator for a hybrid role in Piscataway, NJ. The right candidate will have experience installing and configuring network infrastructure.Responsibilities of the right candidate:Install and configure network infrastructure to support business-critical services.Work with vendor technologies including Cisco, Fortinet, and F5.Engage primarily in project implementation and upgrade programs.Gain hands-on experience with traditional and NextGen networking and management technologies.Support the refresh of the network estate.Must be self-motivated; be able to drive projects to meet agreed timescales whilst working with minimal supervision.Experience of the right candidate:Knowledge of networking technologies commonly used in investment banking, including Cisco Nexus 9000, 7000, 5000, and 2000 series hardware.Strong network operations (complex troubleshooting) and deployment (project) experience.Good knowledge and experience of core networking technologies including routing, switching, multicast, network security and network management on a Cisco IOS/NX-OS infrastructure.Good knowledge of Cisco LAN architectures including working with Cisco Nexus platforms and EVPN/VXLAN & SDA deployments.Familiar with utilizing Cisco management platforms like DCNM & DNAC to manage configuration deployment.Experience in the deployment and support of VPN solutions (Cisco ASA/Firepower/AnyConnect) to support both remote access and client/vendor services.Extensive knowledge of network routing protocols, predominately OSPF & BGP and their deployment within a virtualized environment.An understanding of Network Security including Fortinet competence for firewall administration and support as well as ISE and NAC deployments as network authentication solutions.Knowledge of WAN architectures.Experience of working with Wireless technologies including controllers and Access Points and associated management platforms.Experience of using protocol analyzers & decoding skills (Wireshark interpretation).Competent in using network monitoring tools (Opsware, SevOne, Corvil, ThousandEyes, SMARTS)Experience of using scripting languages i.e. Ansible/Python, a PLUS.Must have flexible availability as implementation work will take place on Weekends and Weekdays after 6PM.
