Production Planning Manager Job SummaryAccountable for the overall implementation and execution of the production planning and optimization process for a product family, generation of weekly production schedule and analysis, alignment of commercial, supply chain and operational assets, and managing and updating production planning and optimization tools.Drives optimization of supply, production and logistics, including inventory, yield loss and energy efficiencies, that maximizes the Company profitability.Develops supply chain business analysis related to support and assessment of business needs, optimizing inventories, assessing cost improvement and constraint removal projects and supporting growth initiatives.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesAccountable for the overall implementation and execution of the production planning process, generation of weekly production schedule and analysis, alignment of commercial, supply chain and operational assets, and managing and updating production planning tools for a product family.Leads and manages all aspects of the production planning and detailed outage planning processes to align commercial, operational, and supply chain interests into executable operating plan for a product family.Drives optimization of supply, production and logistics, including inventory, yield loss and energy efficiencies, that maximizes the Company profitability for a product family.Monitors, tracks, and reports critical inventories.Maintain and improve planning and scheduling tools for increased accuracy, improved business performance, and processes.Coordinate and balance needs of manufacturing, commercial, and supply chain.Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.Develops strategic planning/supply chain business analysis related to support and assessment of business needs, optimizing inventories, assessing cost improvement and constraint removal projects and supporting growth initiatives.

Required QualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited institution5+ years of diversified work experience to include at least two of the following areas: Plant Operations, Product Management, Inventory Management, Planning and Analysis, Supply Chain OperationsPractical knowledge of plant operations and logistics networks

Preferred QualificationsEngineering or technical Bachelor's degree.Understanding of business economics.Chemical and/or Refining industry experience.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.Desire for self-development and learning.Strong initiative and results orientation.Ability to multi-task through multiple issues and priorities.Highly effective communication skills.Strong interpersonal and relational skills.Ability to see the overall picture and still attend to details.Skills in using Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
