Position OverviewThe Senior Manager, Professional Strategy will help create and deploy strategic plans to cultivate solid relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), key accounts, educational institutions, and professional associations, in support of the Bausch & Lomb Pharmaceutical business. This position will report to the Executive Director, Professional Strategy, Bausch & Lomb Pharmaceuticals.
Key Responsibilities
Create and execute KOL strategies to further develop and solidify productive relationships across the Bausch & Lomb Rx Portfolio.Coordinate advisory boards in alignment with Director and Brand Leads to uncover key insights to support future marketing strategy and tactics.Foster strong relationships with key HCPs, industry groups, associations, key accounts, and educational institutions to build trust, respect, credibility, and ultimately strong awareness of key Bausch & Lomb’s Rx brands.Provide on-label product information and be an expert on B+L Pharma core brands, policies, and associated business rules.Serve as commercial lead for organizing all commercial KOL and Brand Activity for major ophthalmology and optometry congresses, with in-person attendance as well as core customer meetings at appropriate conferences.Collaborate within the Professional Strategy function and Brand Leads to manage/monitor all promotional speaker program engagements including KOL selection, contracting, training, sales engagement, program execution, and compliance related monitoring.Drive HCP attendance for educational events at various promotional opportunities.Organize and execute in person and virtual business meetings with customers per business goals, routinely in 1:1 settings, over business meals out-of-office, and possibly with B+L leadership in attendance.Identify and accomplish strategic goals that further B+L’s Pharma’s standing in core KOL communities across glaucoma, Anterior segment, Retina, Optometry, and other possible strategic specialties in eye care.Develop and maintain relationships at assigned academic institutions in order to further Bausch & Lomb’s business objectives with faculty, residents, students, and other key stakeholders.Provide cross-functional support with KOL, key account, society, and academic initiatives.
Qualifications
Minimum of 7 years of pharmaceutical sales and/or marketing experience; Ophthalmic and Pharmaceutical Sales experience preferred.Career progression with roles of escalating responsibility.Ability to work in cross-functional team-based culture.Independent execution of major projects.Proven skills in the following:
KOL development and relationship management, sales and marketing collaboration and constant engagement, project planning and management, managing financial information required.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Data analytics and interpretation, to use to implement and/or correct tactical mix.Goal oriented, self-motivated, team player.Ability to adapt to dynamic and fast paced business environment with multiple and changing priorities.Undergraduate degree required.
Important Job Requirements
Domestic Travel required, ability to travel overnight ~35-50% including weekends, ability to conduct business meals with others.
Salary InformationAs required by New York City’s salary transparency provisions of the New York City Human Rights Law, Bausch + Lomb provides a good faith minimum and maximum salary range of compensation for roles that can or will be performed, in New York City. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For New York City, the range of starting annual base pay for this role is $170,000 - $190,000.
