Park Area Ambassador (Seasonal) (SeaWorld - San Diego)

Play an important part on our incredible team!What you will get to do:Maintains cleanliness throughout the park by conducting various cleaning and detailing requirements.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Maintain cleanliness of restaurant patio areas to include tables, chairs and the gathering of service trays.Sweep and mop floors, empty trash cans and ensure proper stock in all dispensers.Clean drinking fountains, sinks, counters, mirrors, stall doors, vents, and dispensers.Detail and clean all park restrooms and pathways.Plunge clogged toilets.Restock and maintain storage rooms and satellite storage areas.Ensure excellent customer service by responding to customer requirements, expectations and needs.Communicate safety policies to park guests.Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors, and Guests.Perform other duties as assigned.Occasionally assist other locations and areas in the park as needed.Change trash bags in all trash cans in assigned areas.Sweep debris from pathways while scanning landscape for trash.Must be able to walk throughout the park.Must be able to move freely around work areas.Must be able to bend, reach, twist, and turn with complete flexibility.Must be able to work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions and temperature extremes.Must be able to work varying shifts/hours based on business need, including opening as early as 8am, mid- and closing shifts as late as 12am, weekends and holidays.Qualifications:Valid state Driver’s License preferred.Must be at least 18 years of age.Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to read, write and speak English.Physical Requirements:Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.Regular use of hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed.Stand for prolonged periods of time.Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bending floor-to-waist/waist-to-overhead, reaching overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing).Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, and cold/heat temperature extremes.Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals.Must be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities.Availability:Available to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours, including opening and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.At least 4 days of unrestricted availability including weekends and holidays during peak season.At least 3 days of unrestricted availability including weekends and holidays during the off season.Compensation:16.85 USD per hour.The perks of the position: Ambassadors will enjoy a fun, fast-paced environment, and great teammates, as well as:FREE park admission.Discounts on park admission tickets and passes for family and friends.Park discounts on food, merchandise, etc.Scholarship opportunities.Exclusive employee events and giveaways.EEO Employer:SEAWORLD PARKS & ENTERTAINMENT IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
