We are seeking a well-rounded Associate Director, Strategic Marketing & Analytics to join our Marketing and Communications team. This role is in Cincinnati, Ohio requiring presence in our downtown office at least 3 days a week.

A bit about us: We are a small and nimble marketing organization within the Chamber. That means we do it all – from strategy to implementation. We leverage one another’s skill sets, pitch in as needed, and outsource when we know it can be more efficient. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled marketer with an exceptional ability to develop actionable customer insights and turn them into results. They will build marketing programs across multiple channels that meet our audiences where they are. They will be highly collaborative, an agile team player and passionate about the Chamber’s mission and vision. They recognize their role is critical to the success of key revenue-driving events and in advancing the Chamber’s reputation in our region.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Partner with the vice president of marketing & communications to plan, develop, and implement the Chamber’s Membership and Leadership Center program marketing strategies.

Build and execute test & learn tactics to meet stated goals focused primarily on recruitment and engagement of members and program participants including lead generation, nurturing and lifecycle marketing.

Leverage the Chamber’s CRM database, email platform, events, social media and other paid and organic media to launch integrated acquisition and engagement campaigns and analyze relevant data.

Use insights to develop engaging and compelling content for Chamber audiences across multiple platforms including websites, social media, newsletters, and reports – including copywriting, editing and proofreading in partnership with others in the Marketing department.

Oversee a marketing associate responsible for implementing acquisition and engagement tactics, including emails, newsletters and social media presence.

Identify market trends and make recommendations to drive brand engagement to team members.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIESThe position has supervisory responsibility of one individual. This role inspires action through collaboration, teamwork, thought leadership, relationships, and information sharing. Communicates with and provides services to a wide range of internal and external contacts.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism or a related field

12+ years of experience in a marketing and communications or related role

Strong understanding of digital marketing and social media platforms and their relevant targeting, analytics and reporting capabilities, especially LinkedIn.

Significant experience with CRM solutions such as Salesforce or Hubspot, email marketing and email automation tools, and data analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics, Excel)

Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

Team management experience in a fast-paced, often changing environment

A team player with excellent organizational, attention to detail, and technical skills.

Strong knowledge of current marketing and communications trends, strategies, and best practices.

Some experience or working knowledge of standard design tools, including the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) and HTML for basic design editing is a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENTThis position is located in a climate-controlled downtown office site and requires a minimal amount of external activity. The job will require talking, listening, researching, and sitting for long periods working at a computer screen. This position does not require travel. Requirements include some evenings and weekends, flexible work week available to accommodate these instances.
