About the Opportunity:We are seeking an experienced, dynamic Senior Director of Marketing for Shutterstock’s Business Solutions Division to lead and elevate our B2B marketing strategy to drive growth, customer acquisition, and retention.
As a key member of divisional leadership, this role will work closely with revenue growth leaders, Product Management, and Sales teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives. This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate business goals into innovative, data-driven, multi-channel marketing initiatives while ensuring measurable outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have 8-13 years of experience in B2B marketing within an industry related to digital media, technology, or content solutions. This role is ideal for a marketing leader with proven experience in both strategic and hands-on marketing execution and a deep understanding of the entire enterprise customer journey, from lead generation and acquisition to retention and customer advocacy. This role will oversee a highly functioning and strategic team of marketing leaders focusing on business solutions customers at all stages of the marketing and product lifecycle.
The Day to Day:Develop, execute, and refine a comprehensive B2B divisional marketing strategy that resonates with enterprise clients throughout their lifecycle and drives brand awareness and customer acquisition, retention, and engagement, including:
Demand Generation & Lead Nurturing:
Build and optimize demand generation programs, leveraging content marketing, digital campaigns, SEO/SEM, and email marketing to generate qualified leads and improve conversion rates.
Business Line Marketing:
Build and lead a team representing product-specific marketing functions to craft compelling value propositions, product messaging, and go-to-market strategies that differentiate Shutterstock in the marketplace.
Digital Marketing:
Oversee digital marketing efforts, including website management, paid advertising, and social media.
Data-Driven Decisions:
Use analytics tools to track performance, measure ROI, and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
Customer-Centric Marketing:
Cultivate a customer-first, data-driven approach in all marketing initiatives, ensuring that the needs and goals of our customers are at the core of our marketing communications and campaigns.
Team Management:
Lead a team of marketing leaders representing the entirety of the marketing and customer lifecycle and all Business Solutions customer personas in a lean, agile environment, promoting a collaborative, high-performance culture while ensuring accountability and quality outcomes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Sales, Product, Engineering and other Shutterstock Marketing teams to ensure alignment and drive cohesive customer experiences.
Brand Voice & Positioning:
Oversee messaging and positioning efforts, ensuring consistency in our brand's voice and values across all channels and customer touchpoints.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring all resources are allocated efficiently and programs are delivering strong returns.
Stakeholder Communication:
Report regularly to executive leadership on key metrics, marketing performance, and future opportunities. Act as a marketing advocate within the company and externally with key partners and stakeholders.
What You'll Bring to the Role:
Experience:
8-13 years in B2B marketing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, ideally within digital media, technology, or content services, with a strong emphasis on enterprise-level solutions.
Leadership:
Demonstrated experience managing and developing lean, high-performing marketing teams and partnering with cross-functional teams to align on go-to-market strategies and customer acquisition efforts. Highly creative, collaborative, and innovative approach to leadership.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (Masters/MBA preferred).
Strategic Vision:
A solid understanding of the entire marketing lifecycle and how to create value for customers at each stage.
Analytical Skills:
Proficiency in using marketing analytics and data-driven insights to inform strategy and enhance the customer experience.

Compensation:The pay range for this position is below:
200,000 - 220,000 per year in New York
Note: Commission-eligible roles are expressed as on-target earnings (base and commission). Non-commission roles are expressed as base salary only but are also eligible for annual incentives.
