The Position
Based in Boston, we are seeking a candidate to join the Equity Syndicate team. Team members in this role will work closely with the trading desk to facilitate funds' participation in a variety of deal structures within equity capital markets. The primary focus will be on facilitating "over-the-wall" transactions, reverse inquiries, and managing testing-the-waters feedback communications pre-IPO.
Responsibilities
- Receive inbound wall cross requests that require the handling and dissemination of material non-public information (MNPI) via legal and compliance framework.
- Following strict guidelines, solicit portfolio manager interest in participation in a variety of different wall-cross transaction types.
- Negotiate on behalf of the Fidelity Funds' interest in both non-public and public capital markets transactions, including IPOs, Follow-Ons, PIPE deals, and other strategic liquidity situations.
- Proactively engage with Fidelity's investment professionals to craft creative liquidity solutions while leveraging ECM, Syndicate, and Trading relationships.
- Develop a deep understanding of various regulatory regimes and internal Fidelity policies.
- Manage external broker-dealer relationships to ensure optimal outcomes in ECM/Syndicate transactions.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- 3+ years of Equity Capital Markets (ECM) experience will be considered an asset.
- Familiarity with different investment styles, trading terminology, and objectives across portfolios to manage participation on public equity offerings.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to engage investment professionals concisely and effectively.
- Sound attention to detail, ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Ability to work individually and in a collaborative team setting across multiple time-zones.
- Mentally agile with strong decision-making skills.
