Operating at Amazons scale demands intelligent systems, and a business operations mindset, to wrangle the tens of thousands of incoming legal requests and claims with increasing efficiency as Amazon grows.In this role, you will sit with the Litigation and Regulatory Operations team, and work with paralegals, business analysts, Legal technologists, lawyers and global business leaders to operationalize the production of legal work and reduce risk for Amazon. Youll enjoy breaking things to see how they work, improving on what works, discarding what doesn't, and learning from both. You should be passionate about technology and solving high-impact, ambiguous, business problems in the legal space.Key job responsibilitiesDesign, develop and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, and dashboards enabling stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisions.Work with PMs and Business stakeholders in understanding the business requirements and implementing solutions to support analytics and reports.Conduct ad hoc data analysis and data quality investigations.Implement training and documentation solutions that enables stakeholders to get the most out of our self-serve reporting tools.Develop and support the analytical technologies that give our customers timely, flexible and structured access to their data.Defining, developing and maintaining critical business and operational reports reviewed on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basisAnalysis of historical data to extract meaningful insights and learnings from large and complicated data sets identify trends and support decision making, including written and verbal presentation of results and recommendationsCollaborating with software development teams to implement analytics systems and data structures to support large-scale data analysis and delivery of machine learning modelsUnderstanding of Amazons data resources, which to use, how, and whenA day in the lifeWe thrive on solving challenging problems to innovate for our customers. If youre passionate about this role and want to make an impact on a global scale, please apply!Basic Qualifications- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modelingPreferred Qualifications- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasetsAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
