As a Technical Designer Woven Shirts, you will lead the technical design for Lands’ End. You will partner with the cross-functional team in developing product from initial concept through fit to production. You will successfully translate the product design and style vision into a consistent fit and quality level through application of blocks, pattern analysis, fit analysis, appropriate production construction methods, accurate specification packages, and fit session management.
Responsibilities:
Drive the technical design process, including fit, patterns, grading, fabric, construction, and manufacturingLead fit sessions, maintain responsibility for your own productWrite fit comments, document fit history, track samplesUse PLM preferably CENTRIC to create, update, and maintain accurate and complete specificationsUse 2D and 3D software for pattern corrections and maintenancePartner with cross-functional teams to drive the development processMaintain daily communication with vendorsQualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in fashion design, apparel production, or textiles with a minimum of 5 years of experience in swimExtensive knowledge of apparel fit, patterns, grading, fabric, construction, and manufacturingStrong knowledge of PLM, 2D, and 3D Browzwear softwareExcellent problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesProduct risk assessment skillsAbility to manage multiple things at onceExcellent prioritization and organizational skillsExcellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
