Job DescriptionJob Title: Central Sterile Processing Technician
Job Specialty: Central Sterile

Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 7 years in sterile processing; 3 years traveling experience preferred
License: N/A
Certifications: CRCST & CST
Must-Have:- Experience with assembling and packaging, decontamination, quality control, and assurance- Proficiency in records keeping, sterilization, and sterility maintenance assurance- Ability to lift, pull, and push a minimum of 25 pounds
Job Description:
- Operate within a central sterile processing unit specializing in Orthopedics, Cardiac, Gynecology, Urology, General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiovascular, Podiatry, Vascular, Otolaryngology, Oral Dental, Thoracic, Ophthalmology, Spinal, Plastics, Neurology, Bariatric, and Maxillofacial.- Maintain a high standard of sterility and cleanliness within the unit, ensuring patient safety and effective process management.- Utilize equipment such as Power Surgical Equipment (PSI), PCA pumps, Feeding pumps, and PARP in daily operations.- Conduct thorough quality control and assurance checks to uphold institutional standards.- Preferably knowledgeable of Censitrac Tracking System for efficient workflow.- Collaborate with a team to ensure a streamlined and effective sterile processing unit.- Wear facility-provided blue scrubs; adhere to dress code standards to maintain professionalism.
This position does not require floating to other units and includes call requirements as needed. The successful candidate will contribute to a positive work environment and demonstrate the capacity for handling responsibilities independently.
