Directs the entry of shipments, ensuring that at least 95 % of orders received are shipped out the same day. Directs the entry of shipment paperwork and transactions needed within the ERP system and the Freight forwarders systems and utilizing resources to ensure parts are shipped out as efficiently as possible. Improving processes where needed. Liaises with freight forwarders to resolve issues such as time of delivery, damages etc. Resolves issues within the shipping process in order to minimize time delays (for example interfaces with the ERP system and the shipping software supplied by the freight forwarder). Ensures all interfaces with the ERP system database and the Freight forwarder software are working. Resolves problems as they may occur. Ensures the Freight Forwarder software has the correct discounted rates setup. Administers freight claims and coordinates directly with the freight forwarders to ensure reimbursement of damaged materials. Monitors daily work volume to ensure correct staffing levels for certain times of the year. Reconciles on a weekly basis order that have been shipped but not invoiced to ensure all tickets going through the warehouse have been processed. Ensures new staff members are trained correctly in the processes they need to follow. Meets with the International Customer Service group on a weekly basis to resolve shipping issues that might occur. Works closely with the other Team Leads to ensure material moves as efficiently as possible through the building and out again on a customer order. Makes sure Shipping areas are maintained in a clean and orderly fashion. Writes up procedures where needed and creates exception reports as needed for example inspection deviation reports. Ensures all safety rules and OSHA regulations are being followed. Performs other duties as required. What we look for:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Experience in Digital & Analog Camera Systems Experience in Access Control Systems Understanding of the function and design of Alarm Systems Experience with IP addressable security devices (2+ years) Must be computer literate to include advanced TCP/IP networking skills Must be able to operate a company truck with an acceptable driving record Is proficient with all aspects and operation of card access, CCTV systems Preferred
High school graduate or GED equivalent and 5 years of responsible experience in warehouse receiving procedures or any equivalent combination of experience and education. Working knowledge of a computerized inventory control system. Working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel. Sound knowledge of shipping requirements and regulations, this includes exporting requirements also. Reasonable knowledge of databases and interfaces to ensure the Freight Forwarder Software is working correctly, interfacing the shipments to and from the ERP system. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to operate a forklift and order picking equipment. Performing these duties, the employee is frequently required to stand and be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
