Join Pitney Bowes as a CDL B Truck Driver - Part Time, 1st Shift in Hartford, Connecticut!
Your work 10 hours per week. Your schedule will be every Saturday from 2:30PM - 3:00PM.
Your hourly pay will be $25, paid weekly.

Responsibilities:
Vehicle Inspection: Conduct daily inspections of your assigned vehicle following Pitney Bowes Presort Services pre-trip inspection guidelines. Report any defects to the Transportation Supervisor for immediate resolution.Log Maintenance: Keep a detailed daily driver's log or route sheet, tracking mileage, stops, and cargo using the TMW system.Schedule Adherence: Maintain pickup and delivery schedules, meeting deadlines with the help of software tools.Safety Compliance: Understand and follow all safety and security precautions, keeping your vehicle clean and well-maintained.Mail Handling: Review mail for proper dates, presort slugs, and ensure a pickup slip is attached before loading onto the truck.USPS Equipment Use: Use USPS equipment exclusively for the movement of "Live" mail.Mail Return: Handle and return client-damaged or undeliverable mail according to internal procedures.Technology Utilization: Use all required cell phone applications effectively.Work Area Maintenance: Keep your work area clean by ensuring mail bins are under machines or in APCs, removing plastic straps from the floor to prevent tripping hazards, and sweeping the floors between pickups or deliveries.Policy Adherence: Demonstrate and follow all company policies and safety precautions.Qualifications:
Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old.Driving Skills: Ability to drive a CDL straight truck or equivalent.Navigation Skills: Ability to read maps and understand directions.Regulation Knowledge: Understand and become knowledgeable about USPS regulations and standards.Licensing: Hold a valid state motor vehicle operator's license (CDL Class B) and meet applicable DOT requirements.Experience: Minimum of six months of verifiable driving experience and at least 75,000 miles driven in the last five years with a safe driving record.Physical Ability: Ability to lift at least 50 lbs., walk, stand, stoop, and bend with or without accommodations.Flexibility: Ability to work mandatory overtime, including weekends, holidays, and different shifts with little or no advance notice.Language Skills: Basic understanding of English to follow safety and operational directions.About Our team:
Pitney Bowes Presort Services performs mail sorting; performing some of the work that would typically be performed by the USPS. For completing this work, Presort Services receives discounted postage rates. By performing this sorting work on behalf of our clients, we are able to share a portion of that discount with them. Our national network of operating centers processes over 17 billion pieces of mail annually. We provide mailers with end-to-end solutions from pick-up at their location into delivery into the postal system network, providing optimal postage savings.
