This position is located in the city of Sacramento .
Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I, Health Management Unit (HMU), the Benefits and Disability Coordinator performs a variety of professional tasks and analytical work. The incumbent is regularly required to apply state and federal laws and Department and control agency rules and regulations, analyze, and make recommendations, apply good judgement, and fair and consistent practices pertaining to (Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA)/California Family Rights Act (CFRA), Leave of Absences, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Fitness for Duty, and Workers' Compensation. The incumbent performs a variety of analytical assignments of average difficulty, such as conducting research and preparing correspondences and procedures, reviewing, and processing requests, training internal and external customers regarding processes and procedures, and serving as a departmental consultant regarding the less complex benefits and disability issues.

Working Conditions
Under Government Code 14200, this position is a hybrid, in-office/telework position, and may be subject to change. Incumbent must live and work in California.
