Position Title: Resin Sales Manager
Petmate's story begins 60 years ago! The idea began with a single focus of keeping pets safe when in transportation. They created the dog kennel specifically for transportation needs. The Company is headquartered in Arlington, Texas, in the heart of the Dallas/Ft. Worth 'Metroplex'. The Corporate Headquarters is located within walking distance of the iconic AT&T Stadium, home of the 5-time Super Bowl Champion Dallas Cowboys, and The Ballpark in Arlington, home of the Texas Rangers baseball club. DFW Airport is also nearby. Our Manufacturing facility is in Arlington, Texas.
Summary : Our Resin Sales Manager will generate new recycling solutions for our Spectrum recycling facility located in Dallas Forth Worth area. You'll help us grow our recycling efforts at our Spectrum facility in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. You'll work to build relationships with plastics manufacturers, helping collect and recycle plastic waste. You'll develop strategies for the resale of resins to maximize resale value.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:Own the entire sales life cycle : Manage the process from sourcing and purchasing raw plastic waste materials to closing deals for the resale of recycled resins.Identify and develop sales opportunities : Proactively search for new business opportunities and partnerships with plastics manufacturers and suppliers within the DFW area.Build and nurture key relationships : Establish strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers in the recycling and plastics industry to drive sales growth.Negotiate and close deals : Lead negotiations for pricing, payment terms, and contracts for both purchasing raw materials and selling recycled resins.Develop pricing strategies : Assist in formulating and executing pricing strategies that ensure competitive resale value while optimizing profit margins.Market and industry analysis : Stay informed on market trends, customer needs, and industry dynamics to identify potential new markets and opportunities for recycled resins.Collaborate with internal teams : Work closely with Petmate's lab and other departments to ensure quality control of materials and alignment with the company's sustainability goals.Support reverse logistics : Help implement systems for efficient inbound plastic waste collection and outbound recycled resin distribution.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field OR 8-10 years of relevant work experience in sales within plastics/resin manufacturing sector.5+ years of sales experience, preferably in manufacturing, recycling, or industrial sectors.Ability to travel up to 50%, within DFW area.Proven experience owning and managing the complete sales cycle from lead generation through sale.Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successfully closing deals.Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with internal and external stakeholders.Ability to learn and understand the recycling industry, plastics, and sustainability concepts.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic understanding of data management and analysis tools.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the recycling or plastics industry.Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, or similar continuous improvement tools.
