Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory University Department of Pediatrics are actively seeking a Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrician to join the Division of Behavioral and Mental Health.

Job Description:

Provides clinical care across Children’s locations with a focus on early relational health, the earliest presenting signs of developmental or mental health disability and conducts assessments and follow up visits according to the highest standards of care.

Supervises trainees in pediatrics residency and medical school in the field of developmental and behavioral pediatrics, ensuring adequate opportunities for training through teaching, patient contact, case review and research.

Contributes to medical and developmental evaluations and outpatient follow-up care. Oversees medical support personnel and contributes to the formation of the Developmental Pediatrics section in the Division of Behavior and Mental Health.

Learns from interdisciplinary collaboration and disseminating cutting-edge technologies and models of clinical service.

Collaborates with child and developmental psychology, community agencies, child neurology, psychiatry, genetic counseling, among other subspecialties at Children’s and Emory Pediatrics. Communicates effectively with patients, families and colleagues.

Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited fellowship program in Developmental Pediatrics.

A commitment to serving children with autism and their families.

License-eligibility to practice as a physician in Georgia.

Additional Details:

This is an academic medicine position, searching for BE/BC DBPs or NDDs.

The position will join the growing academic Division of Behavior and Mental Health. There will be no call requirement and no weekend hours.

The position will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team across the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Healthcare system.

This position is eligible for academic promotion through Emory School of Medicine, in the Department of Pediatrics.

Interest and expertise in children with intellectual disabilities, interdisciplinary team-based care, and medical education are advantageous
