So, who are we?

Idaho Youth Ranch is one of the largest and oldest non-profits in Idaho. Since 1953, Idaho Youth Ranch has provided healing and hope for Idaho's kids. We use proven therapies and programs to help kids who have experienced loss or adversity transform childhood trauma into hope. We offer a statewide network of services to kids 9-24 years old and their families, including outpatient therapies, residential care, adoption services, and career readiness. These services are supported by statewide network of thrift stores that contribute a significant portion of the funds needed to support our services.

How will you impact our mission?

We are looking for a mission-driven, strategic, and experienced non-profit leader to have a profound impact on the lives of Idaho's youth and families and the future of Idaho Youth Ranch as an organization.This new Chief Advancement Officer will be reporting to the CEO as part of the Strategic Leadership Team.This role will spearhead the advancement of our mission by developing and executing comprehensive strategies to maximize the Idaho Youth Ranch's impact, reach, and sustainability.The CAO will lead all aspects Idaho Youth Ranch's philanthropic initiatives and external relations programs.This leader provides oversight and direction to Idaho Youth Ranch's Development, Marketing, Communications, Advocacy, and Public Relations team members.What does the successful candidate look like?

Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPA, or related field) or CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Professional) Certification strongly preferred.10-15 years of progressively responsible experience in strategic leadership, organizational advancement, fundraising, or related roles.Proven track record in developing and implementing successful strategic initiatives.Demonstrated experience in senior leadership roles, preferably within nonprofit, educational, philanthropic, or mission-driven organizations.Demonstrated leadership & supervisory experience, including the ability to inspire, mentor, build, and develop high-performing teams.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including board members, staff, partners, and donors.Strong decision-making skills, with a focus on fostering collaboration and teamwork.Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and resource allocation in a nonprofit or business environment.Ability to analyze financial reports and data to inform strategic decisions.Strong technical ability with experience using analytics, metrics, and benchmarks to measure success and impact.Executive experience in larger non-profits and/or experience leading larger capital campaigns preferred.Summary of Essential Functions

Organizational Leadership:

Provide organizational leadership with a focus on advancement, mentoring leaders to build a culture of belonging, ownership, and accountability.Strategic Leadership:

Work with the CEO and leadership team to develop and execute the strategic plan, leveraging market research and trends to make informed decisions and prioritize initiatives.Operational Oversight:

Prove expertise across areas development, community relations, communications, fundraising, marketing and advocacy, ensuring processes, KPIs, and accountabilities are clear and continuously improved.Partnership Development:

Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with stakeholders (donors, volunteers, community leaders, government agencies, and other non-profit organizations) to enhance the organization's reach and impact.Program Development and Advancement : Lead the innovation of programs and services aligned with Idaho Youth Ranch's mission and address gaps in service delivery.Financial Management:

Ensure the financial sustainability of the organization through strategic fiscal planning and revenue generation.Community Engagement: S erve as an ambassador with the CEO to build relationships, lead philanthropic initiatives, and strengthen community and stakeholder relations.What do we offer?
