JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
As a ServiceNow Developer within Entergy’s Operational Governance team, you will provide IT services to internal customers as well as deliver ongoing support for ServiceNow-based software solutions. This role provides the opportunity to engage in the full application lifecycle as part of a scrum team. You will design, develop, and support solutions on the Now platform that supports Entergy’s core IT processes.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop application features with configuration and custom code development.
Assist in the coordination of any changes, upgrades and testing with support providers for external integrations and systems.
Participate in peer reviews for application changes.
Participate in scrum ceremonies such as refinement, demo, and release planning.
Create workflows and build service requests based on customers’ specifications.
Use scripting tools and ServiceNow functionalities to automate rote tasks.
Perform system and integration testing; and monitor health, usage, and overall compliance within the application.
Generate reports as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education and experience required of the position:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, business administration, or other technical area of study OR equivalent work experience; advanced degree is a plus.
4+ Years working as a software developer for an enterprise platform.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position:
Solid analytic and problem-solving skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven experience working with Agile development teams.
Experience with JavaScript is required.
Familiarity with software development and design methodologies
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Prior ServiceNow experience
Understanding of design thinking techniques including Persona's, Journey Maps, and Business Model Canvas
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required of the position:
Any ServiceNow, Certified Agile Product Owner, or ITIL certifications are a plus.
