Production Worker | Dekalb, IL2nd Shift $21.30/hrOverviewWe are seeking dedicated production line workers for our glass line. As a member of our team, you will maintain production by offloading machines and hanging finished products for the painting line. You will also inspect the finished painted products and stack them after inspection. This role involves lifting up to 50lbs of material at a time. This position requires training on 1st shift for 2-3 weeks before moving to 2nd shift.ResponsibilitiesPerform general labor work such as pulling hooks from sheets, running the spinner, driving, and unloading sheets from the glass line.Maintain production of the glass line by keeping material moving down the line.Hang steel material and offload steel.Inspect finished products and stack them after inspection.SkillsGeneral labor and production experience.Capability to lift 50lbs and work on a production line.Forklift operation experience preferred.Additional Skills & Qualifications1-2 years of manufacturing experience.Experience in the steel industry.Blueprint and machine operating experience is a plus.Work EnvironmentWork in a large manufacturing plant with normal exposure to noise, dust, and hazards associated with heavy machinery. The typical work schedule is Monday through Thursday with overtime on Fridays and Saturdays. Initial training will be on the first shift (6:00 AM - 4:30PM) for 3 weeks, after which the schedule will be 10 AM to 8:30 PM.
