The Role

RedMane has a full-time opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with proven Medicaid expertise as we continue to grow our Chicago based practice. The Project Manager will be responsible for leading cross functional teams to complete project goals and deliverables within scope and budget. The successful candidate will work directly with clients and internal staff to estimate, plan and manage projects to successful completion.

Our solution offerings include custom design, integrated solutions that leverage third-party software and COTS products, and highly configurable, low code case management solutions that that incorporate leading-edge technologies. These include cloud-based mobility, data analytics and visualizations, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

As a project manager, you will work in a collaborative environment within our project teams where you will track, manage and report upon scope, schedule, budget for client projects. As the project manager is the primary point of contact with the client, frequent and clear communication is necessary to establish productive and balanced relationships with customer stakeholders and sponsors.

Previous experience managing projects in any of the following functional area is a plus but not required: Health and Human Services, Higher Education, Utilities, Probation, and Healthcare.

Responsibilities include:

Lead the design, development, and implementation of large scale, state agency Medicaid focused systems delivery efforts.

Create, update and manage project schedule using Microsoft Project or other client-approved software.

Control and manage project scope, budget, activities and expectations to ensure profitability of RedMane projects.

Regularly track, report and analyze project status, including scheduling and conducting regular status meetings, and creating client-facing status reports.

Create and manage Risk, Change and Issues registers for the project.

Leading/participating in prospective client business development meetings, reviewing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and assisting with go/no-go decision-making, and developing responses to RFPs in collaboration with BerryDunn'2019s Business Development team

Regularly manage, interact, and collaborate with RedMane project team members.

Facilitate discussions and resolution of project-related issues and blockers, if they arise.

Escalate issues to management and client stakeholders, if necessary.

Create monthly reports and forecasts to RedMane executive management of project status, schedule, milestones and budget.

Facilitate, schedule and plan Executive Steering Committee meetings for projects '2013 including creation of presentations and other material to effectively communicate project progress.

Skills & Role Requirements

The Project Manager will need to have:

7 years of project management experience with increasing scope of responsibility.

At least 5 to 7 years of public sector experience; experience with state Medicaid and/or health and human services agencies, and/or health plans preferred.

Experience in crafting project proposals, developing work estimates and project schedules.

Experience in project planning and control of multi-year and multi-phase projects.

Experience tracking, managing and escalating issues through to resolution.

Experience with the identification and mitigation of project risk.

Excellent communication skills with all levels of internal and client staff and management.

Ability to effectively communicate and articulate with technical and non-technical audiences.

Proficiency with project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

Proficiency with tools that facilitate and promote team interaction and collaboration (e.g., Skype for Business, WebEx, Basecamp, SharePoint).

Strong interpersonal and management skills with an excellent attention to detail.

Experience managing projects involving data analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and IoT is a plus, but not required.

We are looking for people with aptitude, intelligence and desire.

Ability to focus on high quality work under pressure.

PMP certification is a plus, but not required.

Travel Requirements

The position may involve periodic travel to client locations within the US.
