Maximus is seeking a Manager, Pricing. The successful candidate must have Federal Pricing experience and will be responsible to deliver and/or oversee pricing aspects of Federal proposal submission in response to Request for Proposals (RFPs.) The successful candidate for this position reports to the Senior Director of Federal Pricing but will work very closely with the Proposal Response Team. This is a remote position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform cost analysis and estimates for complex proposal efforts, consistent with company policies, FAR, CAS, and solicitation requirements for various major groups within the organization.
- Collaborate with our capture/proposal teams to aid in pricing strategy, development, risk identification, and interpreting solicitation requirements.
- Interface with auditors regarding cost proposals, including the provision of direct and indirect costs support.
- May participate in the negotiation of contract awards.
- Maintain current knowledge of the competitive environment.
- Participate in special projects as required.
- Read RFPs, prepare clarifying questions related to pricing
- Accept pricing inputs from various divisions (operations, HR, facilities, telecom, technology, etc.) and independently validate the soundness of the received inputs.
- Compile consolidated price based on received inputs.
- Perform cost analysis and cost estimates for complex proposal efforts, consistent with company policies, FAR, CAS, and solicitation requirements.
- Identify key financial risks related to the proposed solution, and run what-if analyses to quantify risks and recommend mitigation strategies;
- Work with the Price-To-Win team to come up with realistic, compliant and winning prices.
- Lead Pricing Strategy discussions and demonstrate Thought Leadership.
- Finalize accounting treatment for revenue and costs to provide estimates of free cash flow, operating income, and net present value.
- Present the key pricing highlights, risks, and mitigation to the executive team consisting of CEO, CFO and Group Presidents.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
- Assemble all inputs required for a standard Federal Price/Business Volume including standard Business and Compliance recitations, input from Contracts concerning RFP-required documentation, Estimating Assumptions, and Bases of Estimates as required by the RFP.
- Potential opportunity to manage and supervise staff to include mentoring, training, and overseeing the professional development of staff.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in related field.- 5-7 years of relevant professional experience required.- Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree
- Must have 5+ years of related Federal Pricing experience in the development and submittal of complex spreadsheets and cost proposals to Federal customers for products and services.
- Advanced knowledge of the principles, methods, and practices of cost estimating.
- Knowledge of the relevant corporate and government regulations and standards regarding Federal procurement.
- Strong organizational, verbal, written, analytical, problem solving, teamwork and communication skills required.
- Demonstrates willingness to build experience and knowledge of pricing, including reading and reviewing RFPs.
- Must possess strong proficiency with MS Excel, Power Point, and Word.
- Must be able to conduct hands on analysis at micro-level while presenting findings at high-level.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with and present to executive management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment delivering results and quality services.
- Demonstrated experience to execute multiple tasks simultaneously working in a team or independently.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
