Senior Resource Manager

Position Description:
The Resource Manager will oversee the planning and management of resources as it
relates to projects across the organization. The Resource Manager will work closely
with discipline leaders to identify staffing needs for new IA projects and create team
structure scenarios based on: required skills needed for work, staff availability,
individual growth goals, project timing and other business needs. He/She will also
monitor the utilization of the organization at the individual, project and discipline levels
and will share utilization updates with the executive team including trends and risks.
Ultimately, the Resource Manager will maintain a line of sight across all projects and
teams and play the role of an active influencer and adviser as it relates to staff planning
for the business.
Responsibilities:
Provide resourcing scenarios for new projects and work with discipline directors to structure project teams in a way that maximizes the use of talent and provides an ideal employment experience for employees.Work with project leads to support them in anticipating future resource needs and potential challenges, taking initiative to address them before they impact project timelines.Solve resourcing gaps or conflicts on active projects as needs shift or new scenarios arise.Work with discipline directors and potential hiring managers to anticipate full-time and freelance resourcing needs.Leverage Resource Management by Smartsheets to manage, organize and implement an effective resource allocation working model for all departments, teams and individuals within the company.Collaborate with project leadership and clients to ensure the seamless onboarding and offboarding of resources to client systems, following all required procedures and ensuring compliance with client protocolsPlan and facilitate resourcing sessions such as biweekly discipline resourcing meetings, project formations meetings, and project retrospectivesPartner with new business and business development leads to input project information, statements of work and additional project context into Resource Management by Smartsheets to forecast resourcing needs.Generate resource data/analytics to understand and monitor utilization, P & L per project, individual performance, team health and recruitment needs.Define and implement a clear communication strategy as it relates to resourcing across the organization.Communicate with vendors to resolve billing issues and collaborate with customers to address accounts receivable concerns.Perform data entry to support the routine operations of the accounting department.Review Statements of Work (SOWs), purchase orders, and procurement software to ensure accurate allocation and translation of funds from SOWs into corresponding financial and procurement systemsRequired Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree required3+ years of professional experience working within a project management and/or resource planning role within an agency, design firm, and/or management consultancy.Expert level project management, relationship management and creative problem solving skillsKeen ability to work under pressure and maintain poise and professionalism.Ability to foster a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards resource planning and approach all interactions with employees in this manner.Exceptional work ethic and team ideology.Excellence in verbal and written communication, presentation skills and relationship management.Ability to manage competing priorities and negotiate resource needs with tact and professionalismDetail-oriented, with the ability to maintain clear and structured systems for tracking resources, onboarding/offboarding processes, and capacity planning.Bonus Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of accounting principles.Expert knowledge working with spreadsheets.
