SCOPE:
The Fabrication Operator is responsible for following the training parameters to become proficient in fabricating and assembling parts from extruded product to the customer's specifications using fixtures, hand tools, and power tools.
QUALIFICATIONS:Hand-eye coordinationBasic math skillsPrior manufacturing experience is preferredAbility to stand for up to long periods of timeRESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate various heating, forming, splicing, and punching machinesPerform general assembly as neededMake limited adjustments to equipment, as authorizedForm plastic tubing using heat panels and ovensCut plastic tubing to size using automated cutters per quality specificationsInspect product (using gauges/fixtures) for quality and conformance to specificationsPrepare product for shipping, including assembling boxes, packing, and labeling productResponsible for accurate production reportingKeep equipment and work area cleanPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to stand for 2-3 hours at a time.Must be able to periodically lift and carry to up to 30 pounds.Must be able to twist, pull, push, and bend.Must be able to identify quality variances visually.
