We're growing! We've recently expanded and remodeled our labor and delivery unit, and now we are looking to expand our midwifery services. Northfield Hospital + Clinics is looking to add a casual/call, full scope Certified Nurse Midwife to the practice. The practice currently consists of six OB/Gyns and six Advanced Practice Providers, including four Certified Nurse Midwifes. This community hospital currently has just over 600 births a year, and this number is continuing to rise. Our newly remodeled unit includes a large tub for waterbirth, labor slings, a birth chair, and nitrous oxide. If needed, we also offer family centered c-sections in an OB dedicated OR.

Position Summary

The certified nurse midwives are responsible for the care of patients including assessment of health status, diagnosis, development of plan of care and treatment. They also handle implementation of the treatment plan and evaluation of patient status which may include prenatal care, post-partum care, guidance for menopause, wellness and preventative care, treatment for sexually transmitted diseases and family planning reproductive health.

Selection Criteria: Certified by the American College of Nurse Midwives Minimum of 1 year Midwife experience preferred. New grads with a strong L & D background will be considered NRP and BLS Certification, or willingness to obtain within 6 months of start date, company paid

Schedule: As needed coverage 24-Hour call, 8:00am - 4:30pm Clinic
