COVID VACCINE REQUIRED: Fully vaccinated means either 2 shots of Moderna or Pfizer or 1 shot of J&J; If a traveler wants to decline based on a Medical or Religious reason, please have them fill out the appropriate Exemption Form and email it to the address on the form. These should be done ASAP as they have to go through a council to be approved or deniedNo duo submittalsUnit ER (Cost Center 51)Fast track RME (Rapid Medical Exam) 7-Beds. Open 11 am - 11 pm (or 1am). Staffed with either a PA or one of the ED physicians & an LPN or RN. They allow travelers in RME (Typical levels 3-5)# beds/trauma bays 40-Beds (This includes 2 Trauma Bay bays, 7 RME, & 2 Psych/Seclusion rooms) (usually perm staff# Psych/seclusion rooms They have 2 rooms that can be used for Psych/Seclusion. The door locks on the exterior side of the building.# patients per day Currently averageing approximately 120 patients/day (Pre-Covid average closer to 150 patients/day)Certs & other requirements "BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, & TNCC are RequiredCEN,TCRN, & CPEN would be a PLUS!Must have:* Previous travel experience* 2 years of previous ER experience in a similar size/volume ER* Previous EPIC experience "Ratios 1:4 for RN'sEMR EPICCharge Nurse/House Supervisor Free Charge Nurse 24/7; however, will take patients if the needs of the units demand thisNurse Aides/Paramedics "ED Techs - most have EMS background but not required.Ratios: 1:8-10 depending on staffing, as well as the area they are assigned toFoley insert & remov, phlebo, EKGs, splining, wound care to some degree, transporting to RAD or inpt, CPR cert chest complression & assist w/ traumas)"Security/Patient sitters Secruity in the hospital but not designated to the ED, not 24/7 in the ED - quick & assessableWeekend Requirement Every-other-weekend. Nights is Fri/Sat; Days Sat/SunHolidays Try not to but if needed. Travelers would be expected to work holidays as needed, based off the needs of the unitScrub Color Navy blue - navy or white jacket - undershirt white or navy - hair must be natural hair color - No pink or blue. Distasteful tattoos must be covered.Tele/Monitor Techs Phillips - hard-wired & in room Central station wehre CN & Unit sec sit. No mont techVents Servo U, Hamilton G5, Transport Vent Hamilton T1, Bipap non-invasive ventilation phillips respironics V60, High flow heated combo of AirVo & MaxTech system.ED Physicians/Mid-Levels both 2 providers & 2 midlevels at peak times (only PA's no NP's)Lab Draws Nurses & PCT draw labIV Team No IV TeamRT 24/7 RT is in-house 24/7Pharmacy 24/7 Pharmacy in-house 24/7 - OmnicellShifts Days 7, 11, 3p or 7p for travelers. The manager enters the schedules. The 1st scheule would be plugged in where the needs are. After this they will try to work with travelers wtih the schedule. Will allow block schedule if it meets the needs of the unit. They use Kronos to enter schedule requests, then the clinical coordinator enters the schedules & the manager approves them. They try to do this at least 2 weeks in advance, for 4 weeks at a time. They will allow block scheduling if in the contract. Night shifts is usually a blocked schedule. Weeks go Sunday - Saturday.Floating No floatingFloor specific orientation 1 - 2, 12 hr shift depending on experienceCommon diagnosis / Types of patients MVC, off major interstates, they get level I caliber pts just don't keep everyone, stablized & transfer. STEMI & Stroke center - Cath Lab & IR but if for a stroke they transfer out, typicla ED - OD, behavorior health (peds/adol can stay for days until placed somewehre), COVID winding down,Additional Notes Ideally Float pool nurses would come to ER for boardersAdditional Questions Helipad for transport out or ground, depending on the season due to the weather/cloudsTact Medical Staffing Job ID #495296.
