Summary: The primary role of a Quality Technician is to inspect and test processed, machined, fabricated, or assembled parts or products for defects, wear, and deviations from specifications.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment that do not meet specifications.
  • Analyze and interpret blueprints, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methods, formulas, and measuring instruments required.
  • Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, and work for conformance to specifications.
  • Record inspection or test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content, and quantities inspected or graded.
  • Mark items with details such as grade and acceptance or rejection status.
  • Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
  • Analyze test data and make computations as necessary to determine test results.

  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Education/Experience:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience/training required.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience required.

Key Notes/Attributes:

  • Work is generally performed in an office, lab, warehouse, or user environment.
  • High level of visual acuity, numeric/character distinction, and moderate color distinction for accurate test equipment operation, information analysis, and error recognition. High hand/finger dexterity with fine motor coordination skills to perform electronic component repair work.
  • Familiarity with machines, tools, equipment, and work aids commonly associated with electronic component test, assembly, and repair work, including test equipment, testing devices, technician hand tools, cables, etc. Prescription safety glasses are required in certain test areas.
  • May require working additional hours beyond the normal schedule. Travel varies depending on the position. Consistently demonstrates a commitment to policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.

Background/Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English (Korean is a plus).
  • Associate Degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics Engineering, or Analytics.
  • At least two years of experience with the selection, maintenance, and application of electronic and test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, X-Ray, CT, Digital microscope) preferred.
  • Prior experience in the mobile industry preferred. Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize in a complex working environment. Comprehensive use of Microsoft Office applications operating in a Windows XP or NT LAN/WAN environment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with multiple levels within the company and with external contacts, including customers, authorized service agents, sales, and equipment service representatives.
  • Must be able to influence others in acceptance, approval, and provide technical clarification.
  • Ability to gather and analyze data from multiple sources, prepare spreadsheets, charts, graphs, and tables of information, and plan and prioritize multiple work assignments.
