This role involves providing inpatient behavioral health coverage, including hospital consults, for patients ranging from adolescent to geriatric ages. The assignment is flexible, with coverage ranging from one-week vacation fills to specific date-based coverage needs.
Shift Description:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM clinic and/or day call (including a one-hour unpaid lunch)Call rotation: 1:4As a Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you will be responsible for providing psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and therapy to patients in an inpatient setting. You will conduct hospital consults for behavioral health concerns and treat patients across the lifespan, from adolescent (ages 8-17) to geriatric patients. The role also involves managing inpatient rounds and consultations, with an average patient load of 10-15 patients per day.
Qualifications:
Board Certification in PsychiatryIowa license (or IMLC accepted)Prior psychiatric experience required (No new grads)Ability to work within a Level III Trauma facilityDavenport, IA, offers a rich blend of cultural, recreational, and natural attractions.
