Join the V Team Life.The Associate Director of Technology Strategy and Global Infrastructure will be responsible for shaping and driving the North Star Architecture for the Business group. The candidate will ensure that the technology landscape is architected to align with and meet the Business organization's strategy. They will lead a team of Solutions architects that are responsible for defining, implementing and maintaining the architecture runway and functional domains of a large portfolio of systems.Primary Responsibilities:

Working with the Verizon business, stakeholders, executive leadership, and subject matter experts, to build a holistic view of the organization's strategy, processes, information, and information technology assets to ensure that the business and technology are in alignment

Linking the business mission, strategy, and processes of the Verizon Business Group organization to its technology strategy, and document this using multiple architectural models or views that show how the current and future needs of an organization will be met in an efficient, sustainable, agile, and adaptable manner.

Driving E2E solutions for growth/loyalty programs, customer experience, billing systems, network architecture, and new product interactions with VBG systems and applications specifically in Enterprise, Wholesale, Business Market, and Wireless B2B stacks. The role relies on continuous feedback, fosters adaptive design and engineering practices, and drives the collaboration of programs and teams around a common technical vision.

Designing stable and flexible high-performance solutions, maximizing reuse, and avoiding redundancy. Works with other stakeholders in optimizing architecture solutions.

Continuing to evolve the North Star architecture and define the roadmap based on the business needs.

Developing the technical strategy and architecture runway to align with the long-term business strategy.

Providing technical leadership, guidance, and support in the deployment of complex applications in globally distributed computing environments.

Developing solutions that leverage AI&D and GenAI for the business to reach the AI accelerated state.

Leading the identification and analysis of enterprise business drivers and requirements that drive the future state architecture.

Engaging with business partners to refine requirements and strategies to help drive business goals/objectives and lead the team to deliver and support innovative digital technology solutions to meet business goals.

Facilitating the governance and use of enterprise architecture principles, guidance, and reference architectures.

Defining the standards and directional Tech Stack and driving their evolution by introducing emerging technologies after successful proof-of-concept, working closely with the development teams, and providing hands-on support.

Engaging with subject matter experts on key domains such as product definition as it pertains to OSS/BSS, network infrastructure planning and engineering on access, transport and core networks, provisioning, and service assurance.

Collaborating with architects across the enterprise to identify strategic opportunities and the rationalization of cross-segment dependencies.

Developing and maintaining global technology roadmaps and application evolution plans.

Building Dev-sec-ops & Agile delivery practices, processes, and tools, driving "platform first" principles.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

Experience in defining and driving North Star Architecture.

Knowledge of SMB, FiOS/Copper, Enterprise, Public Sector, Wholesale business, and systems knowledge.

Familiarity with business functions CRM, CPQ, Supply Chain, Billing, Post Billing, Service Management, and others.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Strong demonstrable management experience with leading software developers/architects, systems, or process analysts.

Ability to create system and process flow diagrams, data flow diagrams, sequence, and UML diagrams, and inter and intra-system dependencies within the functional domain and across the domain.

Experience in determining and articulating the business drivers and architectural approach/trade-offs and gaining consensus.

Ability to understand direct reports' career aspirations, strengths, and opportunity areas before providing guidance; defines capabilities and expectations for role(s) based on needs; provides context on situations when providing feedback.

A change agent who effectively presents technology strategy to internal customers, and technology peers to differentiate and improve customer experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate vision with C-Suite executives.
