PRECISION DIMENSIONAL INSPECTOR (SUPPLY CHAIN)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform precision inspection verifications on mechanical parts, components, assemblies and materials. May include but is not limited to purchased parts, in-process and final assemblies, and materials for workmanship and conformance to specifications/drawings
Utilize inspection equipment such as micrometers, gauge blocks, dial indicators, height gauges, optical comparators, profilometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs)
Approve or reject items and document inspection results as required
Perform documentation review and verification of certifications, specifications, and conformance to design and specification requirements
Communicate with internal customers, and suppliers as required to resolve inspection discrepancies
Perform surface plate inspection of first article, in-process, and lot sample parts if required
Use electronic enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to route parts and components to proper departments
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalency certificate
2+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace, aviation, military or manufacturing environment
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
MODUS programming experience
Aerospace precision inspection experience
ISO 9001/AS9100 experience
CMM experience with PC-DMIS software experience
Romer Arm experience with PC-DMIS software
Solid computer skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
DCC (direct computer control) experience
Statistical process control experience a plus
Ability to detect design and drawing flaws
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specification using ASME Y14.5. GD&T and skillful use of metrology tools and gauges
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime, and/or weekends as needed.
Shift times: 1st shift (5:00AM - 3:30PM), 2nd shift: (3:00PM - 1:30AM)
Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted
Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
Must be willing to travel up to 10%
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:Level 1: $30.00 - $38.00/hourLevel 2: $34.00 - $43.00/hourLevel 3: $38.00 - $48.00/hour
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
