Position Overview:
This role is in the Governance and Business Services (GBS) department and is part of 1st Line within the Multifamily Division at Freddie Mac. GBS is responsible for identifying and measuring operational risks, analyzing, and reporting on risks, and collaborating with the 2nd and 3rd Lines and management across the company. GBS owns the division with compliance to the Corporate Enterprise Risk Management framework including compliance with Risk Identification and Reporting.

We provide strong operational risk management knowledge and advice to the Multifamily Business to optimally manage risk in line with Enterprise Risk Management policies and standards.
Your Impact:
You will play an impactful role on the Multifamily Control Testing team by assessing the design and operating effectiveness of key controls in place to mitigate high risks. The results of your work will be reported to Senior Management and used to assess the health of the division's control environment.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $96,000 - $144,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct planning work which includes gaining an understanding of the control execution process to be tested and drafting test procedures for Manager review
- Complete testing to assess control design and operating effectiveness with sufficient detail to allow an independent person to reach the same testing conclusion
- Summarize testing results, assess severity of testing exceptions identified, and prepare control effectiveness reporting
Qualifications:
- College Degree or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferred
- Typically has 5 - 7 years related experience
- Understanding of processes and controls in one or more of the following areas is ideal but not required: Capital Markets, Underwriting, Credit, Securitization, and Information Technology
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
- CIA, CRMA, and/or CISA certifications are a plus
