Job Summary
A great opportunity to join our Finance department as a Accountant and interact with multiple lines of businesses!
Our Accountants process, track, and reconcile all financial data for all assigned Canteen One business lines or companies. These responsibilities include preparing monthly financial schedules to departments, cleanup and reporting of subledger activity, provides assistance on any day-to-day issues, as well as identification and resolution of data integrity issues. The Associate in this position must understand the underlying manual and system processes and the general ledger impact for assigned companies. The focus of this open position is on Accounts Receivable accounting and analysis.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable accounting and analysis
Month-end Close
Company Analysis and Reporting
Account Reconciliation
Maintain data integrity
Assist in the annual audit process
Annually assist with the budgeting and reforecasting of revenue and expenses
Assist the Senior Staff Accountant, Finance Manager and/or VP of Finance with any ad-hoc projects
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Two to three (2-3) years general ledger experience required (defined as: journal entries, account reconciliations, prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, GAAP accounting).
Preferred: CPA/CMA, and experience assisting with tax and audit schedule preparation
Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel
Working knowledge of MS Word and MS Outlook
J.D. Edwards, SAP, or equivalent software
Accuracy, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task
Strong reasoning and analytical skills
Solid interpersonal skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to prioritize
Strongly preferred: Business Objects or equivalent reporting
