Job Summary
Provide paralegal and administrative assistance to the Vice President, Assistant General Counsel - Privacy & Marketing
primarily related to the Legal Department's support for Marketing, Customer Experience, and Privacy, and (ii) other members
of the Legal Department as may be assigned. Collaborate with other Selective business units, Legal and Compliance team
members, and outside counsel. All job duties and responsibilities must be carried out in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

The expected starting salary range for this role is $68,000 - $98,000. The actual base salary is based on geographic location, and the range is representative of salaries for this role throughout Selective's footprint. Additional considerations include relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance, and business needs.

Job Summary

Job Responsibilities
- Track marketing materials submission, review, and approval.
- Review and revise marketing materials (copy, terms and conditions, imagery, etc.) for content, grammar, and legal compliance and communicate with legal counsel and business teams regarding potential revisions.
- In consultation with legal counsel, provide guidance on company-sponsored contests and sweepstakes, including drafting and approving related rules and overseeing filing and bonding requirements.
- Provide research, review, and implementation support for value-added services and risk mitigation initiatives.
- Identify, review, and escalate trademark/copyright, DNS, and other IP issues, working with counsel as appropriate.
- Track and log case law and statutory developments relevant to the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, CAN-SPAM, HIPAA, GLBA, FCRA, state privacy, and data security laws, and electronic communications privacy (wiretap) laws.
- Collaborate with Legal personnel in drafting, revising, and implementing policies and procedures related to marketing, privacy, and data security, including Privacy Impact Analyses, Corporate Privacy Policy and Privacy Notice, HIPAA Privacy Policies, and Outbound Calling.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of privacy training materials.
- Other activities as assigned by the position's supervisor.
Job Qualifications
- College degree preferred
- Paralegal certificate from ABA approved paralegal program required
- 2+ years of Marketing and Privacy law experience
- 5+ years of experience providing paralegal support within a corporate law department
- Proven high-level communication skills with the ability to provide analytical and consultative direction
- Excellent organizational and computer skills (including the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior levels of management and routinely work with discretion with highly confidential and proprietary information
- Ability to work independently with limited administrative support
