POSITION SUMMARY

Vistage is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to support our domestic accounting operations and consolidation of our international subsidiaries. This role will be instrumental in ensuring accurate transaction processing, account reconciliation, and general ledger (GL) posting, contributing to the overall financial integrity of our organization. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proficient in GAAP, has a background in corporate or public accounting, and demonstrates a commitment to excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting and Reconciliation
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including month-end closing entries for international subsidiaries, currency translation, and eliminations.
  • Reconcile and record intercompany transactions and manage addbacks.
  • Perform month-end reconciliations and assist in the preparation of the monthly Statement of Cash Flows.
  • Conduct monthly P&L analysis and deferred revenue analysis.
  • Assist with the preparation of the Monthly Operations Report.

Transaction Processing and Analysis
  • Prepare monthly debt amortization schedules and interest calculations.
  • Calculate and record month-end accruals as needed.
  • Track and recognize event revenue for marketing, ensuring compliance with revenue recognition policies.
  • Assist in project-based expense identification and allocation.

Audit and Compliance
  • Support the annual financial statement audit by preparing schedules, gathering supporting documentation, and coordinating with external auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and Vistage's accounting policies.

Process Improvement and Cross-Training
  • Participate in special accounting projects related to process implementation, automation, and reporting improvements.
  • Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives to streamline accounting operations and enhance accuracy.
  • Cross-train with finance and accounting team members to foster knowledge-sharing and backup support within the department.


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CPA or CPA-eligible preferred but not required.
  • Public Accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • Corporate Accounting experience, ideally within a publicly traded company.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics, FRX, Management Reporter, or similar accounting software; Great Plains experience is a plus.
  • In-depth understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation.
  • Ability to manage complex reconciliations, perform in-depth analysis, and ensure accuracy in all tasks.
  • Capable of coordinating change to foster a continuous improvement environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial data clearly.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team while independently managing assigned responsibilities.


TOTAL COMPENSATION RANGE

$90,000 - $95,000 Salary + 6.5% Bonus (salary based in San Diego, CA)
