Investment Operations Senior Manager – Business Transformation (Digital Transformation Practice Lead)As a Business Solution Design Senior Manager, you will lead the Business Transformation Services (BTS) Digital Transformation (DX) practice area and contribute to the Investment Operations Long Term Strategic Plan.  You and your team will have a direct impact in enabling Capital Group’s ability to support new investment services, investment vehicles, asset types, and optimize current operational processes to achieve greater scale to support business growth.  You will be responsible for inspiring and developing your team and working with peers to prioritize, organize, and execute work. You will leverage your teams’ technical and process design expertise to partner with Investment Operations leaders to design and implement solutions which result in more simplified and scalable processes.  To thrive in this role, you embrace ambiguity and lean into environments where you can step out of your comfort zone to open the door to innovation. You’ll be responsible for building strong partnerships with other parts of the business including Client Groups, Technology, Enterprise Data, and Enterprise Change. You will be responsible for cultivating strong connections with the BTS senior leadership team and championing the DX practice. You will be responsible for all aspects of leading and managing a multi-disciplinary team, including business planning, prioritization and capacity management, vendor management, and informing senior leadership on progress towards objectives. You will be responsible for talent development including role definition, coaching, crafting development plans, and managing performance. There will be a continuous improvement expectation as part of your role to evolve knowledge and skillsets so that the team is consistently using best practices, tools, and methods in their work. You will foster a culture where associates feel valued, engaged, and able to connect their contributions to Capital Group’s broader strategic priorities. This role is a senior leadership role over a Business Analysis function in the context of Investment Operations.  The ideal candidate will have the skillset, domain knowledge, and professional skills to work in the space between business subject matter experts and the IT organization in the pursuit of identifying, developing, and implementing operational process improvements to improve the scalability of operations (considering cost, risk, and operational resilience).  Functional and Technical SkillsProcess Optimization: Proven track record in identifying inefficiencies and leading initiatives to implement process improvements.  Highly proficient in guiding teams to define operational efficiency problems at the root cause and evaluating all elements of design/potential solutions (People, Process, Technology, and Data). Strategic Data Analysis: ability to analyzing large datasets using tools such as Excel, SQL, and Python to gain insights on operational problems, prioritize use cases, and suggest potential solutioning plans. Process Design & System Integration: experience working with business users and IT professionals to suggest the right integration patterns for solutions/use cases based on both technical and business architecture (including user experience) considerations. Software/Tool Landscape: familiarity with investment management software like Bloomberg, Charles River, or Aladdin, as well as user-driven (“Citizen Development”) tools – including the ability to oversee their implementation and optimization. Experience using Artificial Intelligence/Data Science to improve operational processes.Executive Reporting: proficiency in creating detailed reports and dashboards using BI tools like Tableau or Power BI for senior-level stakeholders on the opportunities and progress of the Digital Transformation portfolio. Project Portfolio Management: Strong skills in managing a portfolio of projects, including strategic planning, execution, and monitoring.  Partnering with our internal Enterprise Change Office. Domain KnowledgeAn understanding of Data Science / Artificial Intelligence and how it can be leveraged in the Investment Operations space to optimize processes.Investment Operations Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of trade lifecycle, settlements, reconciliations, and corporate actions at a strategic level. Financial Instruments: In-depth knowledge of various financial instruments including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and alternative investments. Regulatory Compliance Leadership: Extensive familiarity with industry regulations such as SEC, FINRA, and MiFID II, and the ability to ensure organizational compliance. Risk Management Strategy: Advanced understanding of risk management principles and practices within investment operations, with the ability to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies. Market Trends Analysis: Expertise in analyzing current market trends and their impact on investment operations, and providing strategic insights. Professional and Leadership SkillsExecutive Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to senior-level stakeholders. Strategic Problem-Solving: Strong analytical/critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on strategic solutions. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and lead collaborative initiatives. Leadership Excellence: Demonstrated leadership skills, with extensive experience in mentoring, leading teams,
