Job Title: Personal Injury Paralegal

Company/Industry: Well-established law firm

Locations: Freeport, NY

Salary: $65-80K/yr Commensurate with experience, inclusive of benefits

Status: Direct hire, FT, On-Site Mon-Fri

**The ideal candidate must be bi-lingual (Spanish) and have experience as a paralegal in personal injury law.**

Responsibilities:

- Conduct client intakes

- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all relevant documents are up to date.

- Communicate with clients, No-Fault adjusters, medical offices and adverse party's law offices

- Provide administrative support, including answering phones and scheduling appointments.

- Assist with case management, including tracking deadlines and court appearances.

- Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests and motions.

- Prepare and file RJI and PC Demands

- Prepare PC Orders and organize depositions with adverse party's law offices

- Prepare and file Retainer and Closing Statements

- File documents on NYSCEF

Requirements:

- Proficient in speaking Spanish

- Experience as a Personal Injury Paralegal or in a related legal role.

- Proficient in clerical tasks such as transcribing dictation, filing documents and managing calendars

- Ability to draft legal documents relating to Plaintiff personal injury lawsuits

- Knowledge of court systems and e-filing procedures

- Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically, Word and Outlook

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 Per Year
